OEM Guidelines a. OEM’s are invited to attend
GTUI and participate in presentations, Roundtables and other activities at
the sole discretion of the GTUI Board of Directors b. OEM’s whose equipment has
significant representation in the stationary and marine
propulsion markets and whose Users of such equipment attend GTUI in
significant numbers may request that the GTUI Board of Directors consider
inviting the OEM to participate in GTUI. Such request does not imply an
automatic invitation. Invitations will be extended based on representation of
the
OEM’s equipment among the User Voting Members of GTUI. c. OEM’s should have at least
one representative from each of their licensed international overhaul,
repair, and/or service shops as a full member of their delegation to each GTUI
conference. 2. OEM Presentation Guidelines a. GTUI meetings and all
presentations will be conducted in English. b. OEM presentations, whether to the
entire GTUI or to a Roundtable, must focus on technical matters and hold
any sales oriented content to an absolute minimum. The focus must be on
User issues and solutions and be based on technical response to User needs. c. OEM presentations should fully
address User questions tendered either at the GTUI or in previous sessions. d. OEM presentations must be made
available either as printed matter suitable for distribution to all attending
GTUI members (except other OEM’s) or (preferred) as a CD or other
industry standard electronic media suitable for distribution
to all GTUI attendees (except other OEM’s) e. Presentations at GTUI are not
confidential and presentation documents must be distributed at GTUI.
Follow-up content may be posted on an OEM’s website if
appropriate as long as access is provided for all GTUI voting members. f. OEM’s presenting at GTUI must
ensure that all presentation materials intended for attendee distribution
are suitable for the public domain as GTUI has no
control over attendees use of OEM materials after the
GTUI conference. OEM’s may show undistributed sensitive information
during their presentations with appropriate notice to attendees. Such
sensitive information will not be a part of the distribution in 2d above. g. GTUI will make reasonable efforts
to monitor and restrict proper access to OEM presentations and will prohibit
unauthorized video and audio recording of any
session, including Roundtables, as a condition of attendance. h. In addition
to (g) above, the OEM may restrict access to their main technical presentation
at GTUI. Such access restrictions must have an agreed basis determined in
advance and be known to GTUI members in advance; not be used in an
arbitrary fashion; and be discussed and agreed in advance with the OEM
Liaison Officer. Access to OEM sessions will not be arbitrarily denied to
non-Users of the OEM’s equipment provided that the
person(s) in question is not a competitor of the OEM and does not have a
history known to the OEM or GTUI of using conference information in
inappropriate ways. i. OEM’s
have no claim to nor may they assert any proprietary content
limitation on attendee’s handwritten notes and subsequent use of such
personally generated information. j. OEM’s cannot control
attendance at Roundtables. OEM’s may discuss concerns about Roundtable
attendees with the Roundtable Chair and OEM Liaison Officer, but the final
decision on attendee’s rests with the Roundtable Chair. k. Due to the assumed international
attendance at any session, presentations and discussions should not disclose
any information that is subject to Export Controls (e.g., Export
Administration Regulations of the 3. OEM Technical Content a. Information supplied to GTUI
voting members (except other OEM’s) must focus on technical content and
answers to User issues. Sales literature and filler
material is permitted only if appropriate technical content has been supplied
and issues addressed. b. Subject to the limitations above,
OEM’s are encouraged to provide appropriate current sales and
technical information to GTUI attendees as part of their electronic
distribution. c. OEM personnel are expected to
demonstrate professional behavior at all times toward other OEM’s on
site. Behaviors including but not limited to attempting to attend other OEM
presentations without express approval or attempts to obtain other OEM
materials without express approval of the OEM in question
will be considered a serious ethical breach of GTUI guidelines. Such
breach will be reported by the GTUI Board of Directors to the
offender’s executive management with a request for immediate removal from
the GTUI conference and is grounds for immediate withdrawal of the individual
and/or OEM’s invitation to GTUI. Suspension or long term prohibition
on GTUI conference attendance for either the company or individual may be
imposed at the discretion of the GTUI Board of Directors. 4. Hospitality Suite and
Social Event Guidelines a. The goal of the GTUI is
improvement of User technical, operations and maintenance practices; the
resolution of gas turbine technical issues; and networking within the gas
turbine community. Social and Hospitality Suite events can
contribute to these goals but must not detract in any way from the goals or
become the focus of OEM participation. Professional conduct and emphasis on
technical and operations content are required at all times. b. GTUI events, including OEM
sponsored activities, are intended to be suitable for spouses
and other guests. Conduct and other activities including performances at
Hospitality Suites and Social Events must comply with current c. The opportunity to sponsor certain
signature activities including joint naming rights with GTUI (such as any
GTUI golf tournament or other social event intended for all GTUI
attendees) will be offered to the highest sealed bid by an Invited OEM on a
multi-year block basis. Payment schedule will be negotiated with the GTUI
Board of Directors. d. The Opening Night Reception for
User attendees and the Closing User Banquet will not be available for
sponsorship by OEM’s. e. The Annual Conference Chair will
coordinate Hospitality Suite scheduling and other social events during the
annual event. Reasonable attempts will be made to minimize scheduling
conflicts. No social event or Hospitality Suite may be scheduled by a
participating OEM during the GTUI annual event without the written approval
of the GTUI Conference Chair. f. Hospitality Suites and social
events will not be held during GTUI sessions or during regularly scheduled
Roundtables. g. Hospitality Suites will be held
only at the GTUI Conference venue. h. OEM’s may include sales and
promotional material in their Hospitality Suites i. OEM’s
may control attendance at their Hospitality Suites. j. GTUI scheduled social events,
which may be sponsored by one or more OEM’s or GTUI, will be open to
all GTUI attendees. |
